For those of you who would like to watch a lesson online, please remember that the Oak Academy has lessons for each year group. The website is www.thenational.academy
There is an overview of lessons that are included each week for particular year groups and you can pick and choose the areas that you think might support the work that you are already doing. There is also an assembly each Thursday that you can join.
Please feel free to e-mail me using our class e-mail address if you have any questions.
In addition, I will be adding a video lesson each week on different subject areas. These will be found in the corresponding subject area of the class page, depending on the focus. I will update this page each week to let you know where the teaching videos can be found.
This week's video is DT. It can be found in the Week 10 Topic Work section.
Dear Parents and Carers,
After Easter we are continuing with home learning as the school will be closed for the foreseeable future. With this in mind we have been investigating ways that teachers and families can stay in touch during these difficult times. We are therefore introducing a system where this will be able to happen and we are asking pupils to contact teachers at least once a week in order to ‘check in’.
We are asking that Year 6 trial the system, which will take the form of a blog, accessible from the Purleigh Website. On a regular basis, work activities, investigative tasks and life-skill challenges will be posted by your child's teacher. Your child can access the blog to post examples of their work, photographs and messages to their teacher and classmates.
The blog is live now to give your child a chance to get set-up and explore the functions. The first work task will be set next week.
Privacy and Security:
All posts will be moderated and authorised by a staff member prior to publication and the blog is only accessible (visible and editable) to those with a log-in.
To access the blog, either click on the link in the Year 6 class page on the Purleigh Website, or follow this link: https://purleigh-community-primary-school.primarysite.blog/?class=2900
Check Parentmail for details of how your child can log-in to the blog.
